Our coaching staff is led by former MLB player and Rice University Head Coach Jose Cruz Jr., alongside experienced college coaches Parker Bangs, DC Arendas, Justin Aspegren and Rice University Baseball players. Together, they provide top-tier instruction, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and player growth.

You can register on the homepage of our website. You can register for our available Houston baseball camps at Rice University with Jose Cruz Jr. You can also get email updates when camps are posted!

Camper numbers vary by the camp type and date. Jose Cruz Jr. camps keep a 1:12 instructor-to-camper ratio to ensure everyone receives personalized instruction and interaction with coaches, players, and Jose Cruz Jr.

Players should dress to play baseball! Any special wardrobe instructions will be listed on the camp registration page to align with the events of the camp itself. Players should bring the following items if applicable to their position:
– Glove
– Bat
– Baseball Shoes (Cleats or Turf Shoes)
– Hat
– Helmet
– Catcher’s Gear (if applicable)
– Labeled Water Bottle
– Equipment will not be loaned or shared during camp!

Daily Camp Schedule:

Registration: 8:15 AM
Camp Start: 9:00 AM
Pick-Up: 12:30 PM

Each day, campers will participate in fundamental skill-building drills, game scenarios, and scrimmages in age-appropriate groups for a personalized instruction experience.

Jose Cruz Jr. Baseball Camps are currently structured by youth camps and prospect camps. Youth camps are for players aged 6-12. Prospect camps are for players in the ninth-12th grade.
